Joe Molloy can confirm that Viv Anderson and Dion Dublin are in good nick after playing against them in a 5-a-side match yesterday afternoon.

The former Manchester United players were in Ringsend to play against a team of journalists including Off The Ball's Joe.

And after the game, Joe got his breath back and had a chat with ex-Coventry and Aston Villa striker Dublin and they talked about life after football.

Dublin has been working as a TV pundit as well as inventing a percussion instrument called The Dube.

But he also reminisced about his playing career, recalling the pain of his leg break and his recovery from that setback just after he had joined Man United.

But he also predicted that the current Man United team will be one of two teams involved in the title race at the end of the season.

Viv Anderson is well-known for being England's first black international player. Joe asked him about that period in his life and how he dealt with the scrutiny.

Meanwhile he started his career at Nottingham Forest, playing for Brian Clough's European Cup-winning side before moving to Manchester United, Arsenal and Middlesbrough.

Anderson was a former team-mate of potential Ireland manager Martin O'Neill and explained why O'Neill would be a good choice.
