There were mixed fortunes for the two Irish boxers in action for the British Lionhearts team in the World Series of Boxing.

European gold medal winner Joe Ward was given a unanimous decision over Hungarian Imre Szello at Celtic Manor in Wales.

But Olympic silver medallist John Joe Nevin strugged on his step-up to Lightweight as he lost a split decision to Branimir Stankovic.
