France international Karim Benzema has been arrested in the ever intriguing case over the alleged blackmail of Lyon's Mathieu Valbuena.

Benzema becomes the second player to be arrested in the case which involves a sextape belonging to Valbuena. Former France international Djibril Cisse was arrested last month regarding the case, but was released without charge.

The Real Madrid star was not involved in last nights 1-0 win over PSG in the Champions League. He has missed the last few weeks of club action after injuring his leg in a friendly against Armenia.
