Katie Taylor has defended her lightweight titles with victory over Natasha Jonas in Manchester on Saturday night.
The Bray native took on 36-year-old Liverpool native Jonas in a 10 round encounter that ended up being much closer than many had anticipated.
Taylor did throw more punches and her incredible speed was clear to be seen again with the judges going for a unanimous decision (96-94, 96-95, 96-95).
It was described by some as the best women's boxing match in memory with it turning into a brawl on numerous occasions.
With the win Taylor retains the undisputed lightweight title and is unbeaten in her 18 professional fights over the last five years.
The encounter was on the undercard for Derek Chisora vs Joseph Parker.

"I had a slow start but dug deep and won the championship rounds.
"I showed heart near the end."
