Abraham Kiptum is the half-marathon record holder
Kenyan runner Abraham Kiptum has been suspended just two-days ahead of his scheduled run in the London Marathon.
The 29-year old has received a provisional ban from the Athletics Integrity Unit for for an Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) violation.
Kiptum broke the half-marathon world record in Valencia in October, running a time of 58:18. In December, he ran a time of 2:04:16 in placing 2nd in the Abu Dhabi Marathon.

It's a further blow to London Marathon organisers following the unseemly row this week between Mo Farah and Haile Gebrselassie.
