It was also Eamon Fitzmaurice's first game in charge of the Kingdom as they progress to a quarter-final meeting with UCC.

The goals came from Paul Geaney (2), Mike Geaney and Patrick Curtin, with three coming before half-time.

However there was an injury concern for Kieran Donaghy who was forced off with 10 minutes to go.
