Jack Grealish's recent performances for Aston Villa, culminating in last weekend's FA Cup win over Liverpool has catapulted the Irish Under 21 international into the minds of football fans in England.
Newspapers in England such as the Daily Telegraph have written extensively about Grealish's situation with both the FAI and the English FA looking for the Birmingham native to commit to their teams.
His father Kevin, spoke to English radio station TalkSport this morning about the families international options and jokingly suggested that Jack could represent both Ireland and England in Dublin's June 7th friendly.
“There’s a friendly coming up, so maybe he could play 45 minutes for England and then for Ireland."
Jack's relationship with the Ireland underage sides was also mentioned in the interview.
“He just played for Ireland at the age of 14 and we just went with the flow. Now everyone is talking a bit more seriously about it now and wants to know what he’s going to do. It’s going to be a difficult decision. It’s completely up to Jack though."
Grealish will be back in action for Aston Villa this Saturday evening against Manchester City.
He was the winner of the FAI Under 21 Player of the Year, winning the award last month.
