Many of you will have heard Kevin Kilbane when he has done co-commentary on our live Premier League games on Newstalk.

Working in the media is the main area that he has branched into since retiring from the game last year.

As well as hearing Killer regularly on Newstalk and Off The Ball, the 36-year-old has also worked in TV for BBC's Match of the Day and TV3's European games.

Yesterday, Kilbane was in the building to speak to the Off The Ball lads about his burgeoning media career and also explained why Gary Neville is currently leading the way in the art of football punditry.

"Universally, everyone is recognising that Gary Neville is brilliant. I think he's excellent. He's very good at analyzing situations and putting things in lay-man's terms. He recognises that it's a tough game to play and coach and he picks up on simple things. He's the benchmark."

Kilbane, who has also released an autobiography entitled Killa: The Autobiography of Kevin Kilbane, revealed that he is about to embark on his latest coaching badge, the UEFA Pro Licence.

But he admits that he is unsure whether that is the route he wants to go.

"I'm not totally ruling it out, but I realize the longer I stay out of the game, the harder it is to get back in," said Killer.
