Kilkenny have beaten Galway by 1-24 to 1-17 at Semple Stadium to set up a meeting with Tipperary in the Division 1 final of the Allianz Hurling League.

Cyril Donnellan scored an early goal for Galway while Colin Fennelly found the net for the All Ireland champions who had the measure of their opponents throughout.

Galway had Fergal Moore was stretchered off in the first half after a clash of heads which left him with suspected concussion.
