Police are investigating an alleged racist incident between Manchester City defender Aleksandar Kolarov and a fan at St James' Park.

It happened as he was warming up on the sidelines, during the champions' Premier League game at Newcastle.

Officers are understood to have received a complaint from the Serbian international, about a supporter who was carrying an Albania flag.
