Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena has confirmed that Steven Gerrard willl move to LA Galaxy this summer.

Although the Liverpool captain has yet to announce the news officially himself, Arena told the Los Angeles Times that the midfielder will arrive in July.

"Steven Gerrard arrives in July and by then we will certainly have a plan available," he said.

In the article, Gerrard is quoted as describing the move as "a match made in heaven" and that he wants to "add some medals and trophies" to his collection.

Meanwhile, LA Galaxy's president described Gerrard as the perfect fit in what "signifies a Galaxy-designated player".
