Lance Armstrong and the Sunday Times have reached an out-of-court settlement after the newspaper launched a legal case against him.

The American cyclist successfully sued the paper seven years ago after it reported his use of performance enhancing drugs.

Armstrong said he was a clean rider at the time but has since confessed to cheating.

The terms of the settlement are not being released.
