Dave Kearney is the latest Leinster player whose provincial future may be in doubt.

The winger and younger brother of Rob Kearney told today's press conference that his future is still "up in the air".

The 24-year-old, who was called up to the extended Ireland squad for the Six Nations, referenced Sean O'Brien and Jamie Heaslip as he admitted that his future was uncertain.

"Like the other two lads I’m still trying to figure out what I’m going to do. It is still ongoing so it’s still up in the air, but hopefully it will be resolved soon," he said.

Head coach Matt O'Connor admitted that he is still in the dark over the futures of O'Brien and Heaslip.

The duo are among the Leinster Heineken Cup-winning stars that are out of contract with the IRFU at the end of the season and reports this morning suggest that O'Brien will travel to France again this week to hold further talks with Top 14 giants Toulon.

O'Connor says that the transfer speculation has yet to reach boiling point but he wants the situation to be resolved sooner rather than later so that he can start planning for next season.

"There's still a lot of rugby to be played this year. It hasn't been a frustration or distraction at this point. But at the same time, everyone will be happy when there is clarity," said O'Connor.
