Clermont Auvergne condemned Leinster to their first home loss in three years in the Heineken Cup.

The defending champions lost 28-21 to the French giants at the Aviva leaving them in real danger of missing out on a quarter final place.

Wesley Fofana scored the opening try for Clermont five minuets before the break with Morgan Parra shining with the boot to give the French side lead 16-6 at half time.

Parra's kicking continued to peg back Leinster in the second half, finishing the game with a personal haul of 20 points.

A Shane Jennings try and kicked points from Jonathan Sexton kept Leinster within touching before Fergus McFadden scored a late try for Leinster to earn a bonus point.

Joe Schmidt's men are on 10 points in Pool 5 with two games left.
