Leinster and Munster will meet in the semi-final of this year's Heineken Cup, if both sides can negotiate tough French tests in the last 8 stage. Leinster in particular face a real test as they have to go to the home of Heineken Cup champions Toulon as they face a test as tough as any to reach the Heineken Cup semi-finals. The difficult tie was confirmed as Clermont beat Racing Metro with a bonus point.

Munster also face French opposition, as they welcome Toulouse to Thomond Park.

Ulster’s win over Leicester Tigers has been rewarded with a home tie against Saracens. Ulster will also enjoy a home tie in the semi-finals, against either Clermont or Leicester, should they make it through the Saracens tie.

Clermont welcome Leicester to the Parc Des Sports Marcel Michelin in the fourth quarter final.
