Gloves, miniature soldiers and other items from the film "Lincoln" are to be auctioned at the European premiere in Dublin next week.

Director Steven Spielberg has donated props from the drama to be sold for charity next Sunday.

He is making the items available as a favour to close friend, and star of the film, Daniel Day-Lewis, a patron of Wicklow Hospice Foundation.

"Lincoln" is up for seven Golden Globes tonight.
