Steven Spielberg's presidential biopic Lincoln leads this year's Golden Globe race with seven award nominations, including best film. 

It is joined for the top prize by Ben Affleck's thriller 'Argo' and Quentin Tarantino's 'Django Unchained' both of which have five nominations.

Helen Mirren, Maggie Smith and Judi Dench are all in the running and there are also nominations for TV series Downton Abbey, The Hour and Sherlock.

The awards ceremony takes place tonight in Beverly Hills.
