Tailor Louis Copeland has credited the 'Conor McGregor’ effect as the company recorded steady revenue increases last year.

The UFC star often boasts about his suit collection - including one tweet claiming that he has more custom-made Louis Copeland suits than Louis Copeland.

Louis Copeland said that "a steady increase in revenue" resulted in the menswear firm which operates 6 stores, returning a profit last year - although specific figures have not been released.

Mr Copeland previously credited the Dubliner with bringing bow ties to a new generation.

"He brought dickie bows back... Three years ago, if you saw someone in a bow tie, you'd think they were off the wall; but now bow ties are everywhere," he told the Irish Independent.

The tailor said that Irish men are “upping their game and going out a bit more” - and that the company’s outlook is “promising” for 2016.
