Shane Lowry is just 2 shots off the lead before the final round of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, at Carnoustie.

Lowry scored a course record equalling 64 yesterday, top put him at 18 under for the tournament. He is now tied with 6 other players behind leader Peter Uhlein.

Uhlein finished yesterday with an eagle and the young American is on 20 under. The leaders start their final rounds in the coming hour.

Darren Clarke is already out on the course and is 2 under through 4 holes, putting him a shot further back on 17 under.
