Manchester United have gone back to the top of the Premier League but not without a scare from Reading.

Incredibly all seven goals in the 4 - 3 victory were scored in the first half.

Hal Robson-Kanu gave Reading the lead in the 8th minute but United were level five minutes later through Anderson.

And Wayne Rooney put United ahead with a penalty three minutes later. But Adam Le Fondre headed home to get the home side back on level terms.

Sean Morrison gave Reading the lead for the second time in the game. 

But Rooney popped up to tap in an equalizer on the half hour mark before Robin Van Persie beat the offside trap to score what would prove to be the clincher on 34 minutes.

In a much quieter second half, Van Persie had a chance to make it 5 - 3, but blazed over with the goal at his mercy as United held on.
