Former Republic of Ireland, Wolves, Manchester City and Liverpool player Mark Kennedy has been named as the new head coach of League Two club Macclesfield Town.
The Cheshire club are currently 22nd in League Two.
Kennedy has agreed a deal until the end of the current season and will be assisted by former Crystal Palace and Southampton defender Danny Butterfield and club legend Danny Whitaker.

Kennedy previously assisted Sol Campbell at Moss Rose. Campbell resigned as manager of the Silkmen last August and Kennedy recently bossed the Under 23's at Wolves.
The Dublin native made 34 appearances for the Republic of Ireland as a player.
He began his career with Millwall before joining Liverpool as a teenager. After making 16 appearances for the Reds, Kennedy joined Manchester City, helping the club's promotion push back to the Premier League.
It was at Wolves though where left-sided player Kennedy made the most impact. He lined out 174 times for the West Midlands club in the noughties, before finishing his career with Crystal Palace, Cardiff City and Ipswich Town.
Kennedy's forays into coaching began at Portman Road and he also spent time as an Academy Coach with Manchester City.
Macclesfield have endured financial problems in recent times, making their survival in the Football League all the more important.
