Mayo have won the minor football All-Ireland final, beating Tyrone by 2-13 to 1-13.
A tense first half gave way to a more open second half hour and Mayo, who had scored just 1-4 in the first half, doubled their total tally within the opening ten minutes of the second half. During that period Tyrone hit just one point.
The young men from Connacht were able to keep Tyrone at arm’s length for the rest of the game, despite a consolation goal from Tyrone’s Conor McKenna late in injury time.
