Mayo have reached the 2013 All Ireland Football final after a 1-16 to 0-13 win over Tyrone.

But James Horan's men had to survive an early onslaught from the Red Hand County.

An upset looked to be on the cards at Croke Park as Tyrone led Mayo by 0-5 to 0-3 with twenty minutes played.

In addition, Mayo top scorer Cillian O' Connor was forced off injured and taken straight to hospital.

But Stephen O' Neill was also forced off with an ankle injury for Tyrone as Mayo fought back to leave the scores at 0-7 to 0-6 in Tyrone's favours at half-time.

The second half was a much more positive period for the Connacht champions as Alan Freeman's penalty gave them a 1-7 to 0-7 lead early in the second '35 as Colm Boyle was fouled.

That turned the game as Mayo powered on to record a six point with further scores from Freeman, Alan Dillon and Lee Keegan.
