Former England manager Steve McClaren is in talks with Derby County about becoming their next manager.

The Championship side are on the look-out for a new coach after sacking Nigel Clough over the weekend following their disappointing start to the new season.

The Rams lost to neighbours Nottingham Forest on Saturday - one of McClaren's former teams.

He is currently at Pride Park to begin negotiations with Derby officials.
