Graeme McDowell advances to the semi-final stage of the Volvo World Matchplay Championship with a 2 & 1 victory over Belgium’s Nicolas Colsaerts.

Colsaerts was last year’s winner of the event, beating McDowell in the final.

McDowell goes on to face Brendan Grace, of South Africa, in the next round.

Shane Lowry went out in the last 16, losing in a playoff to South Africa’s Thomas Aiken.
