Meath GAA has confirmed that Barry Callaghan and Seán Kelly will be their new management team ahead of the Leinster Championship.
They've been appointed following the resignation of former All-Ireland winner Bernard Flynn last weekend due to his frustrations over player availability.
Under-20s players Cathal Hickey, Jack Flynn and Matthew Costello all featured for the Royals' senior team during the league.
"I undertook to accept the role of managing and developing the Meath u-20 squad based on a verbal and written agreement that the senior players would be released for championship, an issue that has caused difficulties for previous management," Flynn told The Meath Chronicle.
"Confirmation was received today that this agreement, which is underpinned by a signed charter, including a commitment from the Chairman Coiste an Mi and the senior manager, will not be honoured therefore making the position of the u-20 manager, and my back room team, untenable."
Callaghan has previously managed the Meath under-21s and he'll be assisted by fellow former Royal senior player Kelly as they begin to prepare for a Leinster quarter-final next month.
