There may be little more than pride on the line when Liverpool and Everton lock horns in the Merseyside Derby at Anfield, but you can be sure that both sides will give their all.
The Red half of the city could still climb above Everton by the end of the season. There is a five point gap between the teams, with nine to play for which makes a victory vital for Liverpool even if Steven Gerrard has played down the importance of finishing above the Toffees. However, Everton have significant incentive themselves. A win will mean that Everton finish above the Reds for the second season in a row.
Luis Suarez is into game two of his suspension but Liverpool coped well without him at Newcastle last week (Read a tactical analysis here). Jamie Carragher is expected to start his 30th Merseyside derby, although the returning Fabio Borini is set for a place on the bench as he works his way back to full fitness.
Phil Neville has been ruled out for Everton with a knee injury, with Ireland's Darron Gibson a slight doubt.
The game kicks of at 1.30pm and you can follow it live on Newstalk Sport Sunday.
