Lionel Messi has overtaken Real Madrid legend Alfredo Di Stefano, and moved level with Raul, as La Liga’s third highest scorer of all time.
The Argentinean scored twice in last night’s La Liga tie with Real Valladolid to bring his tally to 228 goals in just 263 matches.
At just 26 years old he is now just 23 goals off equalling the top La Liga scorer of all time, former Athletic Bilbao marksman Telmo Zarra, on 251 goals.
