Andy Moran's fourth goal against Galway might not have mattered in the overall scheme of things, but the Mayo forward was still ecstatic with the finish in the circumstances.

The late goal held special significance as it marked his return to Championship action after his cruciate ligament injury last August which caused him to miss last year's All Ireland final.

Newstalk Breakfast's Oisin Langan caught up with Moran after the game and he was still in very high spirits.

"I'm a tiny bit embarrassed at the moment. It was the most celebrated fourth goal of all time I think," joked the Ballaghaderreen club man.

"It was a massive personal thing for me. It was great to see it hit the back of the net because I wasn't hitting it over the bar. I only thought I'd come on today if we were in trouble. But it was great to come on when you go into a game where you can enjoy it."
