Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is unhappy that his players have had a longer break than most between games since the Premier League resumed.
Spurs are back in action on Thursday evening when they face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, nine days on from their 2-0 win at home to West Ham.
The Premier League games have been coming thick and fast but there wasn't a full round of games in the top-flight last weekend due to the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Tottenham's opponents Sheffield United were among the teams in action, going down 2-1 to Arsenal in their last-eight tie.
Speaking ahead of the meeting with the Blades, Mourinho spoke of his frustration at having to wait more than a week for his next game.
"I am not happy to be waiting for this match for so long," Mourinho said.
"The perfect time in between matches I would always say is three days, especially in this moment when you are chasing your best form, your best intensity."
Tottenham and Liverpool are the only clubs that have played two league games since the resumption amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and newly-crowned champions Liverpool travel to Manchester City on Thursday night.
Mourinho said: "A team that qualifies or doesn't qualify for the Champions League, it makes a difference to their economical situation.
"That's easy to understand and easy to accept. The two good things are that (chairman, Daniel) Mr Levy wants what I want.
"He wants what the fans want, which is to win football matches and to try to win trophies. So that's one good thing.
"The second good thing is that we don't need much. We don't need many players. We don't need huge investment.
"That's not our profile as a club. With or without Covid, with or without Champions League, so I think we will manage to improve our squad which is what we want."
