Phil Thompson sees David Moyes’ public censure of Marouane Fellaini as a “magnificent gesture” and believes it should serve as an example to other managers.
Moyes publicly announced that Fellaini would have to face punishment for head-butting Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross. The referee missed the incident but MOyes told the press after the game he had seen it, was not happy with it and would accept whatever punishment Fellaini was given.
Thompson spoke to Newstalk’s Oisin Langan about Fellaini and all of the other big stories from the weekend’s football.
