"It does put a bit of pressure on, to be captain of such a prestigious club. To be captain for the season, obviously puts a bit of pressure on but it's something that I enjoy".
New Munster captain Peter O'Mahony joined Ger and Joe for his first-ever studio interview to discuss his promotion to captain of the Munster rugby team.
With players of the calibre of Paul O'Connell still around, O'Mahony feels that he will have a relatively easy transition to the role as he is surrounded by a strong leadership group.
"I've been lucky enough to pick up a bit of experience along the way, which always helps when learning to talk in public or dealing with referees".
Being captain is something the back-row forward always aspired to and the respect afforded to him by his peers means he will undoubtedly go on to lead Munster with great pride. And who knows, this could be the beginning of a path towards the Irish captaincy as well.
