Munster will have to face the daunting challenge of a Heineken Cup semi-final trip, away to Clermont Auvergne, without both Donnacha O’Callaghan and Doug Howlett.

The two will both miss Saturday’s game due to injury. The other injury concerns in Rob Penney’s camp concern James Downey and Peter O’Mahony, who remain doubts for the game. A decision will be made on their fitness later in the week.

Keith Earls looks set to return to fitness in time for the game, as he comes back from a hamstring injury.
