Munster were beaten 19 - 13 by Saracens at Vicarage Road in their Heineken Cup pool one clash..

Owen Farrell and Ronan O'Gara exchanged penalties early on before David Strettle scored the first try of the game for the home side.

Munster captain Doug Howlett responded for the two time winners after an interception from James Downey to leave the half-time scores  at 10 - 10.

Farrell and O'Gara converted both tries.

Farrell outscored O'Gara by three penalties to one to give Saracens a six point win.

Saracens go top of the pool on 14 points, while Munster are third on 11, two behind Racing Metro.
