Former football writer and Celtic midfielder Murdo MacLeod spoke with Newstalk’s Oisin Langan this morning to discuss last night’s historic win for his former club over Barcelona, by two goals to one.
Victor Wanyama scored in the victory and has been linked with several top clubs recently, following 6 goals in 18 appearances for the Glasgow club. MacLeod however believes Wanyama will remain at Celtic for now, if not for too long.
The former Scottish international also discussed Neil Lennon, saying he thinks the Lurgan man will stay at Celtic for a while yet, despite the rise of his star as his tactics take a large share of the credit for a sequence of incredible European performances.
MacLeod believes Lennon has matured from his former fiery personality and the new calmness has helped him to mature as a manager.
