In one week’s time Ireland’s best rugby players will be honoured at this year’s IRUPA awards ceremony and this year it’s up to Newstalk listeners to decide who will be named Supporters' Player of the Year.
In a year that saw Simon Zebo and Craig Gilroy break on to the international scene, while Brian O'Drsicoll and Paul O'Connell reminded us all of their excellence and Cian Healy put in some spectacular displays for Ireland and Leinster, finding a clear winner won't be an easy task.
To vote for your Newstalk Supporters’ Player of the Year, and be in with a chance to attend the ceremony in Dublin on May 8, just text “PLAYER” and your nominees name to 53106. (Text costs €0.30c)
Aside from giving fans a chance to vote for their player of the year, the IRUPA awards are the only awards voted for by the players themselves. This year the nominees for the Hibernia College IRUPA Players’ Player of the Year 2013 are Cian Healy, Simon Zebo and Nick Williams.
There are also awards to be handed out for the Try of the Year, Young Player of the Year and College Medal for Excellence.
