Brian O'Driscoll's try 10 minutes from time gave Leinster the bragging rights over Munster at Thomond Park, handing his team a 22 - 16.
The first half was a story of Munster tries and Ian Madigan's kicking.
While Madigan kicked four penalties for Leinster, Ian Keatley and Felix Jones got a try each to leave Munster two points down at the break.
Munster surged into a 16 - 15 lead in the second half after Keatley kicked two penalties, with Madigan replying.
But it was O'Driscoll who made the difference with 10 minutes to go with a try just under the posts, with Madigan converting.
