Blade runner Oscar Pistorius will not take part in competitive action this year as he awaits trial for murder, according to his agent.

The six-time Paralympic gold medalist was charged with the premeditated murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in February.

Pistorius's agent says he is not mentally ready to return to the track, despite receiving what is described as numerous invitations.
