Paul Bealin's tenure as Westmeath manager came to end last night as the county board voted not to ratify him for a second term in charge.
It had been expected that Bealin would be rubber stamped for a second year but at the meeting last night, the county board decided not to give the Dublin native a second term.
Delegates voted 37 - 12 to bring his tenure to an end.

Bealin replaced Pat Flanagan this year and had little success as Westmeath failed to win a match in the league and championship, with the Lake County playing Division 2 football next year after relegation from the top tier.
