Aston Villa have dropped into the Premier League's relegation zone after a 1 - 0 defeat at home to Southampton. 

The only goal of the game came from a controversial Rickie Lambert penalty. 

Saints striker Jay Rodriguez appeared to dive to win the spot-kick. 

Villa boss Paul Lambert believes referee Mark Halsey got the decision wrong.
