Arsene Wenger says he will not take much notice of anything Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says.

Mourinho claims suggestions Arsenal do not spend much money is a myth.

The Portuguese coach says people should "get a calculator" if they think their London rivals are not big spenders.

But Wenger, who has clashed with Mourinho in the past, says he is happy with his transfer policy.

"I believe that one day if you make real statistics of the players we have developed here and you compare them to all the other clubs, you will be surprised," said the long-time Arsenal boss.  

Wenger also added: "We spend when we think we have to spend and do not listen to what people think or say. When we don't have the money, we don't spend the money we haven't got."

Meanwhile, reported Arsenal target Karim Benzema's latest Instagram post has been interesting Gunners fans who think he is alluding to a Real Madrid exit with the caption "leave the past in the past" and a hashtag saying "#directionfuture":
