Today’s Premier League fixture list didn’t hold much hope for thrilling, seat of the pants football. And it lived up to its billing perfectly.

Just 3 goals were scored in the 3.00 kick offs, while the early game between Manchester City and Hull was a relative goal bonanza with 2 goals for the home side. Kolo Toure and Alvaro Negredo were the scorers for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.

It was over an hour into the 3.00 pm games before a goal was scored.

Jermaine Pennant was the hero for Stoke, as The Potters took a 1-0 win from their game with West Ham, at Upton Park.

Crystal Palace play host to Sunderland in the evening kick off.
