Munster's high-octane performance against Harlequins on Sunday may have taken a lot out of them but they will still need to find an extra reserve of energy when they welcome derby rivals Leinster to Thomond Park this Saturday.
Reggie Corrigan looked towards the game as he spoke to Newstalk Breakfast's Oisin Langan this morning and he feels Rob Penney has huge decisions to make over the next 48 hours.
"It will be interesting to see which way Rob Penney goes this week in terms of selection because that was an incredibly physical game that they had against Quins on Sunday for a six-day turnaround," said Reggie.
"That being said, this is a derby that has outgrown itself at this stage and it takes on another life. Both Munster and Leinster supporters relish this event every year so they will put out a team that can not only perform but also win against Leinster. It will be tough for Penney to put out his starting line up but it will be close to it."
It is also a key game for Leinster in the Rabo Pro 12 as they look to secure a home semi-final, while there will also be the carrot of trying to do the double over Munster this season.
"Leinster are going to approach the game as one of the highlights of their season," said Reggie.
"They've already said they are targeting silverware in two competitions this year and this game is part of that. They need to get a victory."
