Rob Kearney could play his final game for Leinster this evening as they warm-up for the Guinness PRO14 semi-finals by taking on Ulster in a top of Conference A clash.

The 34-year-old, who is out of contract at the end of the current campaign, has been picked to start at full-back against Dan McFarland's side.

Leinster head-coach Leo Cullen says the Louth-native has been an incredible servant for both province and country in the last decade.

“He missed out on the World Cup in 2007 but he was pretty much ever-present for Ireland post that," Cullen said of Rob Kearney ahead of the behind closed doors encounter at the Aviva Stadium.

"He was involved in the Grand Slam in 2009, won the Heineken Cup and went with the Lions that year to South Africa.

"He’s probably the most decorated player ever to play the game, he’s been a big part of all the big days for Ireland and Leinster.

“His aerial skills set him apart, probably the best there has ever been. If catching high balls is the No 1 requirement for a full-back, he’s excelled at that for a very long time.”

Leinster have completed changed their starting XV from last weekend's win over Munster and Cullen is hoping to be handed some selection headaches by those who play this evening.

“Whatever happens this weekend, there are going to be some very tough conversations next week. I can already picture what it’s going to be like in my mind.”
