Tennis legend Roger Federer has undergone a procedure on his knee and will miss the French Open Grand Slam in Paris this summer.
The Swiss lost to Novak Djokovic at the semi-final stage of the Australian Open.
With 20 majors under his belt, and at the age of 38, it remains to be seen how much more of Federer will grace the showcase arenas.

Federer has skipped the French Open before, but often to keep himself fresh for Wimbledon.
He's only won at Roland Garros once, back in 2009, with the clay court slam dominated by Rafael Nadal over the last fifteen years.
