An amateur rugby union player with a history of concussions has died after collapsing with a head injury during a training session.
Lily Partridge, who was 23, played for the Exonian Ladies team, based in Topsham in Devon.
The zookeeper was airlifted to hospital on Sunday, after taking part in a training session for the Devon Ladies county side.
However, her life support machine was switched off 24 hours later.
Team captain Katie Lunnon said Partridge had suffered concussions in the past but added that she had taken the recommended length of time off after seeing a doctor: "She took a month off and was symptom-free before she returned to playing."
