New Tipperary coach Michael Ryan has said Tipperary hurlers “need to walk before we run” on the road to atoning for the humiliating defeat to Kilkenny in this year’s All Ireland Semi-final. Ryan, along with new Tipperary manager Eamon O’Shea, face the task of regenerating a Tipp side that took a major blow to morale with the defeat to Kilkenny, however Ryan insists the Kilkenny game will not define their approach to 2013- “we haven’t started to delve into the year gone by at all. We take the view that ‘look, we’re looking forward here.’”
Ryan feels this term with the Tipperary hurlers could be his last chance to work with his county and he told Newstalk’s Oisin Langan what working for with the county side means to him, and why it was that passion that convinced him to sign up for the job.
