The race for the Champions League and the battle to avoid relegation will once again provide the focus for today's seven games in the Barclays Premier League.

Wigan have to take all three points from their trip to West Brom if they are to have any realistic chance of survival.

Aston Villa's win over Sunderland on Monday has boosted their hopes and they can virtually guarantee safety with a win over fellow strugglers Norwich at Carrow Road today.

Newcastle are now hovering just above the drop zone as they prepare to host West Ham. They will hope to muster a better performance than the 6 - 0 defeat to Liverpool at St James' Park.

In the other 3pm games, already relegated Reading visit Fulham while Manchester City pay a visit to Swansea.

In the battle to play Champions League football next season, Tottenham can break back into the Top 4 with a win over Southampton at White Hart Lane.

But their North London rivals will look to thwart their chances as the late game will see Arsenal looking to improve their own Champions League hopes with a win over already-relegated QPR in a 5.30pm kick-off.
