The Colombian was in scintillating form last night as he catapulted his team to a 5-0 win over Real Betis in the Santiago Bernabeu.
In a game that saw Gareth Bale score a fantastic long distance goal and Rodriguez himself slot home a bicycle kick, there's no denying that fans were spoiled for choice when it came to quality goals last night.
However, the pick of the bunch was this beautiful free kick that came at an important juncture, deflating the spirit of Pepe Mel's Real Betis side. There's also very little that former Real Madrid 'keeper Adan could do to stop it, as it was as sweet a strike as you could hope to see.

The nature and style of the win will relieve pressure on Rafa Benitez, but there's no doubting that Rodriguez was the standout player, getting an assist and two goals to his name.
Los blancos look to be a side to be reckoned with, as always, but they played last night with a speed and a hunger that will mean they should go very far this year.
