Seamus Power has been forced to withdraw from this week's Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
The Waterford golfer tested positive for COVID-19 during the pre-tournament screening.
Power must undergo the mandatory period of isolation, and will receive the full support of the PGA Tour.
The 2016 Olympian was due to be making just his ninth PGA Tour appearance of the year in New Orleans. His last outing saw him tie for 54th at last month's Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.
Power's season's best was a share of 22nd at February's Puerto Rico Open.
Earlier this year, Power's Rio 2016 teammate Padraig Harrington was forced to pull out of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am having also contracted coronavirus.
